Swissport, the world’s largest aviation services provider, makes two executive changes. UK & Ireland CEO Karen Cox was Global Director of Operations & Safety and Co-Head of UK and Ireland. Andres Diez, Director of Global Commercial, becomes Chief Commercial Officer for the Americas, leading top-line business development and profitability in the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Both appointments began April 1, 2023.

Swissport International AG President & CEO Warwick Brady supervises Karen Cox. She is resigning as Director of Global Operations & Safety to become CEO of Swissport UK & Ireland. Richard Male, Global VP for Ground Handling, will act as interim. Karen joined Swissport October 2021. She is implementing Swissport’s global operations and safety standards and processes. Karen became Co-Head UK & Ireland in September 2022 to improve operations and prepare for post-pandemic traffic peaks. After 18 years with easyJet, Karen joined Swissport as Director of Ground Operations and Customer Management Centers.
Andres Diez reports to Swissport US & Canada CEO Frank Mena and Latin America & Caribbean CEO Rene Pascua. Swissport appointed Andres Global Commercial Director in September 2021. He will serve Swissport until a replacement is named.
Andres created Swissport’s new, internationally unified commercial procedures and technologies to expedite business wins and boost retention. He also helped implement Key Account Management. Andres, who is American and Spanish-Venezuelan, will focus on expanding the US & Canada and Latin America & the Caribbean businesses, which account for 40% of Swissport’s global operations. Andres has over 20 years of company development and financial planning expertise with DHL and GXO Logistics.
