Due to logistical bottlenecks, large volumes of Ukrainian grains, which are less expensive than those produced in the European Union, have remained in Central European states, lowering prices and sales for local producers.
In an election year, this has created a political dilemma for the PiS.
During the PiS party convention, Kaczynski stated, “Today, the government has decided on a regulation that prohibits the entry, importation of grain into Poland, as well as dozens of other types of food (from Ukraine).”
Lula of Brazil asserts that the United States should cease ‘encouraging’ war in Ukraine.
The inventory of these items will be included in the government regulation, and they range from grains to honey products, among many others.
“We are and will always be Ukraine’s partners and collaborators. We will support her, and we already do…. “However, it is the responsibility of every state, every authority, and every good authority to protect the interests of its citizens,” Kaczynski stated.
Kaczynski stated that Poland was prepared to begin negotiations with Ukraine to resolve the grain dispute, and that the Ukrainian party had already been informed of the Polish government’s decisions.
