Terex Tower Cranes will be overseen by general manager Marco Gentilini, and Flat Top, Luffing Jib, Hammerhead, and Self-Erecting tower cranes will be constructed at the Fontanafredda site in north-eastern Italy. To boost its self-erecting tower crane business, the firm has engaged Nicola Castenetto to head product development, strategic planning, sales, and after sales for self-erecting cranes in a new dedicated production site that will increase capacity.

Gentilini stated, “Nicola has been with us for 15 years and is well equipped to enhance our connection with our current partners while developing new markets in places where self-erecting cranes were not as prevalent in the past. Commercial expansion, in terms of new markets, channel development, and distribution network extension, is a primary objective. In addition to Nicola’s appointment, we have a dedicated engineering team that will oversee product development and a brand-new facility that will focus on the production of self-erecting cranes. It’s an exciting time for this division of our company, and these investments demonstrate our commitment to developing the product.”
Difficult Terrain Terex Cranes
The Terex Rough Terrain Cranes business will be overseen by Giancarlo Montanari and will encompass the RT and new TRT ranges made at its Crespellano, Northern Italy, facility.
Montanari stated, “Being physically located in Crespellano and having complete responsibility for both the internal and external customer-facing sides of the Terex Rough Terrain Cranes business guarantees focus, continuity of oversight, coordination, and support across all divisions. Throughout my tenure with Terex thus far, I have had the opportunity to meet distributors and customers, who place a premium on performance. To maximize its output, the crane must be easy to use and maintain. And without a doubt, our TRT lineup with its new TEOS operating system and T-Link telematics meets all of these requirements. We are confident in the quality of our product, thus we are focusing on extending our market share in places where rough terrain cranes are not yet prevalent. The development of our distribution network and the expansion of Crespellano’s manufacturing capacity are equally crucial tasks.
Terex cranes are a part of the Terex Materials Processing division, which is overseen by Kieran Hegarty, who stated, “We are sure that this new structure will let each business to concentrate on building their own brands.” Both executives have a great deal of expertise, and our investments will assist them in driving the long-term growth and success of Terex Tower Cranes and Terex Rough Terrain Cranes. We believe that Terex Tower Cranes and Terex Rough Terrain Cranes have a great deal of promise.
As they are made in two separate places and are entirely distinct, it makes sense to separate them for greater focus and clarity. Terex Tower Cranes and Terex Rough Terrain Cranes now have new brand identities, and each business has its own general manager who will execute independent growth strategies, including expanding their specific product portfolio and global distribution partners, as well as enhancing support for their distribution network.
